Special Color for a Special Month

1 Oct 2012

In my first job right out of graduate school, I really wanted and needed a mentor. My friend Beth became that--and more--to me. She taught me the ropes, gave me support, and rooted for me. Beth got breast cancer when we were working together and I have never--ever--seen a person so strong, positive, and downright sassy even during some incredibly low times. Beth is one of the lucky ones. Her treatments were successful and she is "back" better than ever, though she never really left. She stayed the same from beginning to end! It was those us around her that changed. We came to realize, looking in her face, how precious life is and how easy it can be taken away.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so think pink! In honor of all of those affected by the disease, we are offering free cover art for Facebook and Twitter. So that we can raise awareness and spread hope because we will get this thing beat. It's only a matter of time.

Add your support to the cause by using these Breast Cancer Awareness banners as your Facebook cover art and Twitter headers. And remember to link back to this page--http://bit.ly/ArtistDailyForTheCure--in your description so that others can follow your example!

Cheers to finding a cure!

I just uploaded a painting i did of my daughter who is in remission from her cancer even though it wasnt a breast but an eye she lost. She is only 8 and after 3 yrs of fighting she is our inspiration every day

October is the month to support those who have won, those who are still fighting, and those who have lost the WAR AGAINST CANCER

We  are still in the trenches for the rest of her life but u would not know it by jessica  ability to smile after painful cleanings and treatment and in her innocent hugs to those whose jobs it is to help her by causing her pain in the process
