We Don't Have to Settle for Paint & Brush

20 Jul 2011

Okay, I don't really mean that. I was just trying to get your attention. But I kind of do mean it because so often when dealing with how to paint a composition, I follow the same process day in and day out, which is why the idea of transferring images or dyeing my surface or incorporate photographs into my work seem so appealing. Because I know I am going to travel down a new path from the get-go.

If you are interested in exploring these possibilities too, check out the free Image Transfer Techniques eBook that our sister site, Quilting Arts, has to offer. And send me images of works you've done that might use some of these methods. I can't wait!

I thought you were going to talk about Pencils, specifically Watercolor Pencils.
