This is such a neat opportunity that I just had to share with you, and it is so close to me, geographically speaking, that it would be like having you paint in my backyard. If I had a backyard. Which I don't. (Sob.)

The Teaching Studios of Art is having their first annual plein air competition on August 26 & 27 in Long Island, New York, at the Sagamore Hill estate, the last home of President Teddy Roosevelt. The event is sponsored in part by SourceTek, RayMar, Trekell & Company, Chroma, and Gamblin.

There are 35 spots open and the Studios are pulling in the best talent available, and you could be one of those artists who get to explore this beautiful landscape and really just let Nature tell you how she wants to be painted.

The deadline for applicants is July 16, so submit your application soon! Good luck and I hope to see you there!
