I sent in my check and subscription to receive American Artist on Oct 27th 2009 and I still have not received the magazine.

I will definately get a copy! I work in my tiny third bedroom studio, but I dream someday of having a much larger studio with more natural light and room to work on much larger pieces! I will keep this issue in my “dream studio” file! Thanks AA for coming up with this one!

I can't wait to see where other artists create their wonderfull works.

From the write up it appears they covered Grant Wood's studio. A must see!!

And it looks like I need to order 5 copies for my mother...

At the last Putney Painters session... I opened my American Artist issue up to the page that asks "Is Richard Schmid the Most Powerful Influence..." and held it up to Richard and asked, "Can you answer this question?"

Richard smiled and his eyes lit up. Then he rolled his eyes - at me. I'm usually causing trouble there.

Personally, I think the answer is yes. While there are many artists that have a huge influence on art today, Richard may have the edge. He's a great guy too.
